Construction Technology: Renewable Energies and Engineering 5M5010

This one year Construction Technology: Renewable Energies and Engineering course will introduce you to the skills of environmental construction and civil engineering, which may allow you to progress to construction, architecture and engineering courses in Higher Education or go directly in to employment. The course provides students with a hands-on introduction to the broad range of the skills required to work in the construction industry. The course also prepares students for entry to degree programmes related to the construction industry and prepares students for apprenticeships in construction related area. This is a full-time one-year course and runs from September to May.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
  • Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied, or equivalent

  • Pre-entry guidance meeting

  • Mature applicants welcome

  • At registration students will be requested to complete the necessary documentation in order to complete a successful garda vetting process. Garda clearance is a mandatory requirement for work placement

Full-time registered students of GTI may access a range of adult education courses at a reduced fee.

Erasmus+

Students may be awarded the opportunity to participate in a 2 or 3 week fully funded European work placement as part of this course.
