Occupational Therapy Assistant 5M3782
This one-year Occupational Therapy course is a healthcare discipline dedicated to supporting individuals with physical, psychological, or social challenges, empowering them to live life to the fullest. Occupational therapists assist people in accomplishing daily activities they want or need to perform, especially when faced with illness, injury, disability, or difficult life circumstances. Occupational Therapy is a healthcare profession that helps individuals lead meaningful and fulfilling lives despite challenges or limitations. It focuses on "occupations," the daily activities that give purpose to life, such as self-care, socialising, work, learning, and community participation. Therapists enable individuals to maintain or regain their ability to engage in these activities, tailoring interventions to address the impact of health conditions or life events. For children, the focus is on fostering play, school participation, and independence. With a client-centered approach, Occupational Therapy emphasises personal strengths and preferences, creating programs that promote autonomy and a purposeful life. This is a full-time one-year course and runs from September to May.
