Past graduates from GTI have gone on to play Professional and semi-professional soccer in Ireland and the UK. Patrick Hoban - A leading goalscorer in the National league over the past decade is one of a number of former GTI sports students who progressed his skills and qualifications at GTI.

Students who successfully complete the course may gain entry to Third Level Institutes and Colleges through the Higher Education Links Scheme. Third level courses which may give preference to successful graduates of this course include:

Full-time registered students of GTI may access a range of adult education courses at a reduced fee.

Students may be awarded the opportunity to participate in a 2 or 3 week fully funded European work placement as part of this course.
