This programme is designed to: provide learners with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge needed to work in the areas of injury prevention and rehabilitation. Learners will gain hands-on experience in strapping, taping, and sports massage, leading to both QQI and ITEC qualifications.

For anyone interested in sports, massage therapy, physical therapy or healthcare GTI and the Sports & Physical Therapy course they provide is a stand out course for anyone living on the west coast of Ireland and looking to a career in those fields.
The Sports & Physical Therapy course gave me a great foundation to excel and progress onto third level education and pursue my studies in Physiotherapy at university, the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland, Dublin.
The staff at GTI are warm, friendly and welcoming. The facilities are of a great standard and the option of additional add-on courses provided such as manual handling and first aid give an excellent opportunity for students to up-skill whilst studying here.
Upon graduating from GTI you gain an additional qualification in massage therapy which enabled me to practise professionally prior to entering university and something I use regularly. As well as this the modules GTI delivered helped give me a head start in university as they are the entry subjects to Physiotherapy studies. I cannot speak highly enough of GTI as an institution and a place to begin your studies.
